Constantia Glen's Award-Winning Flagship Wine. 

A classic Constantia blend of the five archetypal Bordeaux varieties – Cabernet Franc (28%), Cabernet Sauvignon (28%), Merlot (21%), Petit Verdot (14%) and Malbec (9%). Grown in a cool maritime climage with strict crop control, the grapes are hand-harvested, meticulously sorted, and batch-vinified.

Slow, even ripening has resulted in a beautifully refined wine with excellent structure, vibrant fruit, and impressive ageing potential. The wine is matured for 19 months in French oak barrels (80% new), then bottled un-fined with minimal filtration to preserve its character. 

Enjoy now, or cellar for 10-15 years to unlock its full complexity. 

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in colour, this wine opens with expressive aromas of Morello cherry, blackcurrant, and ripe plum, layered with hints of violets and dried herbs. Subtle savoury notes of cedar, tobacco, and graphite add complexity. On the palate, it is ruch and concentrated, with bold dark fruit balanced by freshness and fine-grained tannins. The finish is long, smooth, and persistent, with a poised structure that will continue to evolve over time.
