Founded in 2022 by husband-and-wife team Chris and Sophie, the journey began with a question: Why don’t more people in Singapore know how incredible South African wine is? So began over a year of research, farm visits, long chats with farm owners and winemakers, and multiple return trips to the Cape Winelands. In April 2023, the first shipment arrived and Lekker Wine officially came to life.

We're a small business with a big mission: to introduce Singapore to some of the Cape’s best-kept secrets - wines from independent, smaller producers who pour heart and soul into their craft, but rarely export abroad. Every bottle we bring in is from a farm we’ve personally visited and wine we’ve tasted, loved, and feel proud to share.

Our debut collection comes from three different wine-growing areas in the Western Cape and showcases a breadth of varietals and vinification styles. From crisp poolside Sauvignon Blancs and “rosé all day” gems, to dangerously drinkable reds, each label has a story. Every vineyard, a personal connection.

In 2024, we set out to expand our wine list, this time with a newborn baby in tow. After a few “research” trips filled with vineyard visits, tastings, and connecting with producers who share our values, we discovered two exceptional new labels. In 2025, we were proud to add their wines to our collection, and we’re excited to share them with you.

Our goal is to bring exceptional wines that offer outstanding value to Singapore, because we believe that South African wine truly is… lekker.
