How the Vivino rating system works:

Vivino uses a 5-star rating system in which users can rate wines 1 through 5 stars. 

A 4.0 wine is an 85th percentile wine meaning that Vivino 4.0 wines are better than 85 percent of other wines out there, and only 15 percent of wines are better.
